Fire Protection Asset Testing & Tagging

Fire Protection Assets include Hose Reels, Fire Hydrants, Fire Plugs and Sprinkler Systems. All of these devices have specific standards that need to be met and require regular testing and maintenance to keep ensure ongoing compliance. Some companies that perform fire asset testing and tagging do a simple "turn the valve and see if water comes out" type test, this method does not ensure that the device is compliant, or functioning correctly! Flow Test Tasmania carry out a complete flow and pressure test on every asset, and will not tag an asset that doesn't comply. We realise that Fire Protection assets can be a matter of life and death, and take the testing very seriously. If a problem is discovered, Flow Test Tasmania can also help with diagnosis, which can often be as simple as a valve turned the wrong way somewhere else in the system.

Flow Testing & Reporting Including Pre-Testing

RPZD/Backflow Prevention Installation & Certification

Flow Test Tasmania are experienced and qualified to design, install, certify and maintain RPZ Devices (Backflow Prevention Devices) in accordance with the relevant standards and legislation.
Backflow Prevention Devices are extremely important where a reversal of the flow of water could potentially cause contamination to the public supply of drinking water. RPZDs should be installed and maintained to the highest standards by qualified and experienced organisations, such as Flow Test Tasmania.
Flow Test Tasmania carry out certifications (Testing and Tagging) on completion of the initial installation, and then at regular intervals to ensure that the device will function as required should a problem with the water supply, or a planned outage occur.

Seesnake Inspections

Flow Test Tasmania has in it's fleet a Seesnake pipe inspection tool which allows quick and easy location of pipes, as well as the ability to find faults, damage, blockages and problems in pipes without having to dig a massive area up to find the problem. Our Seesnake also allows recording onto video, so we can check, and give you the video.
